INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

a. Basic Concepts of Systems
In defining the system there are two groups of systems approach, a system that emphasizes the procedures and elements. The procedure is defined as a sequence of steps of instructions that explain what to do, who's working on, when done and how to do it.
Dafis (1985) defines a system as part together to accomplish several objectives.
Luke (1989) defines a system as variable bergatung mutually to each other and integrated. Mc Leod believes the system is an integrated group of elements with the same intent to achieve a goal. Robert G. Murdick (1993) defines a system as an integrated element in order to measure in a common goal. Thus, this definition would make the approach to the system being analyzed is an element or sub-systems that put more emphasis on the procedure. Systems approach with emphasis on the components are easy to learn for the analysis and design of the system.

b. Basic Concepts of Information
Data is a description of the incident.
Another definition of the data is the fact that depict events and real unity.
Real unity is the real object such as places, objects and people that really exist. While business data are defined as events that occurred. For decision-making factors that must be processed in order to become a information. After processing the information obtained, among others:
• Report expenditures in one day
• Report of purchases that occur each branch or unit
From which the data and information obtained and where the results of data processing and information tersebutdiperlukan.
Gordon.B.Dafis (1985) defines information as data that has become a more meaningful form. Raymond Mc Leot (1995) defines information as data is processed into a form that is more meaningful to the recipient.
According to John Burch and Gary Grudnietski for more valuable information then it must meet the following criteria:
• Must be accurate
• Must be relevant
• Must be on time
An information said to be worth when the benefit is more effective than the cost to obtain that information.

c. Basic Concepts of Information Systems
System is the relationship of one unit with other units that relate to each other and that can not be separated as well as to a union in order to measure in its intended purpose.
Organization / company is a resource where people work and interact to realize the goals set formulation.
Therefore, the system itself is very complicated. In a system, managers have a framework of thought and the system can also help overcome the complexity of existing systems. On the other hand, the system helps the essential and complex problems sehingganantinya can work in an environment where the operation. It is very important to know the characteristics of a round and full of a particular system, including the reality that each system has an input (input) or output (output) and can be viewed as a unit that vekerja by itself.
According to Robert G. Murdick (1987) "The system as a set of elements joined for a common objective".
(System is a collection of several parts / elements that combine to a common goal). The organization is a system and its parts (divisions, departments, functions, and units, as well as others) dalah subsystem.
System organizations is an open system that maintains a condition that is not berubah.Sementara things and the strength or energy that goes into it is always on the balanced and dynamic conditions.
Business organization is a system of interrelated parts and working in units and the integrity to realize the goals set formulation.
